Toby didn't want to wake up this morning so I took advantage and took some cute pictures. He was very snuggly when he finally did get up.

Look what Toby did last night

Last night was a great night for many reasons. Very happy laughing Toby, happy vegetable garden, Steak for dinner, clean house, clean laundry. And then there was this...

It's too hot in the house but Toby loves the garden...

He loves playing with the grass

...and trying to crawl on it...

...he loves hanging out with dad...

...but mostly... he just wants his mummy!

Toby had an exhausting day at daycare. He was happy to see us - I think we were happier! Came home, played outside, ate, had a bath and fell asleep. He was in bed exhausted by 6.15 - he actually fell asleep while lying on our bed being dried off from his bath!!!

Mummy may cry all day but Toby was very excited to make new friends at daycare today...
He started at Toddler Terrace daycare this morning with his friend Noah. It's a lovely place and he gets to hang out with some very wonderful people all day.

The beginning of a long day

At the end of a very long Sunday in which Mummy got sick and Toby did not nap it is easy to forget just how cute he is. When Toby doesn't nap Mummy goes slightly insane! Luckily Ben had a little more energy today so dealt with Toby for a few hours while I wept in the corner! However this is how he started the day...

Bananas and Spoons oh my!

Toby is doing so much better today. He woke up at 5.15 instead of 3.15 which was nice and he has taken three naps already - more than he's taken in the past 48 hours! So for some fun I gave him his own spoon during breakfast. He's been reaching for one for a while and I finally decided to get over my phobia of messes!

Speaking of messes, after we were done with the oatmeal we decided to try Banana, don't think he cared either way but he seemed to enjoy how it squished in his hands!

And just because I know you want to see it... Mummy eating a Banana 28 years ago...

Isn't he a trooper! Now if Ben could get over his infection, my sore throat would go away and Toby would stop waking up at 3am things would be much better!

Poorly Toby

Daddy has a chest infection, luckily Toby just has a cold. Mummy hasn't showered in three days but got some sleep thanks to Grandma and Pep. Even when he is sick, teething and jet lagged we still have the happiest little boy! Now if I could just get him to nap like Daddy is then maybe I could get that shower - and clean clothes - clean clothes would be nice!

I think Toby would have preferred that Grandad push him all the way home in his tub - or walk him home - either way!

Toby was a trooper at Heathrow, even after they confiscated the ice packs that kept his milk cooled and refused to help us keep it cool. He slept for a while...

... and then played with whatever he could find!

Everyone on the plane loved Toby. He screamed for maybe three of the minutes that we were on the plane and smiled at everyone - mostly for people not his parents! He loved our steward Colin and made friends with so many new people. We used all his new toys to keep him distracted.

Day 8

Last day in England - we think - watch this space - well, watch Iceland! Toby is having a very cranky day. He did not want to nap at all which means bed time has been a nightmare. Grandad and Mummy took him for a walk, then he had a bottle, he is now in bed with Nanny watching Winne the Pooh. I think he thinks he can bring the ash cloud closer by sheer will so that we have to stay longer. Not entirely sure what mummy and daddy are hoping for!

New clothes from Auntie Viv - is he a Brit yet?

His favourite thing to do is now walk with Grandad. This is how he has spent most of this week, when he sees his Grandad he holds up his hands, when he's playing with someone else he will walk over to Grandad who will happily walk with him anywhere.

Day Seven

Day 6 - Adventures at Auntie Barbara's

We are shameful parents taking him from a nice cozy crib across town to swim in Auntie Barb's pool. I think he would have enjoyed it a lot more had he been more awake and less fearful of being splashed - ah Daddy's little boy.

I've been calling Toby a Happy Little Chappy since he was born so we couldn't resist this shirt when we went shopping with Auntie Viv the other night - we're working on his British Accent now...

Meeting Georgia Mills for the first time, she might be moving to Florida next year...

The Memorial Gardens are usually locked because of vandals but because the man was there to mow the lawns we were able to get in for a look around...
